Missouri Southern senior lefty Zach Parish has been named the MIAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week as announced by the league office today.
Parish, a native of Tahlequah, Okla., helped the Lions go 4-0 last weekend with a sweep of the University of Mary.
Parish threw the tenth no-hitter in Missouri Southern baseball history when he blanked Mary 13-0. He threw seven innings, striking out nine in the game as he is just 36 strikeouts away from breaking the MIAA career record.
Parish and the Lions will be hosting the MIAA/GLVC Crossover this weekend at Warren Turner Field.
