MSSU track and field teams to compete at MIAA Championships

The No. 2 ranked Missouri Southern women and No. 7 ranked men's track and field teams will return to the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kansas for the 2020 Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletic Association Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The conference championship is a three-day event that will start with the combined events at 2 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 28). The combined events will finish on Saturday (Feb. 29). Other field events will start at 1:30 p.m. while track events commence at 2 p.m. Sunday (Mar. 1) will start at noon with field events and running starting at 1:30 p.m.








Missouri Southern has won two men's titles (2007 & 2004) and two women's titles (2008 & 2004).

The squads will look to improve on their already impressive marks for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships which are scheduled for March 13 and 14 in Birmingham, Alabama.

The women have three automatic and 17 provisional marks and seven top-10 marks while the men have three automatic qualification marks and 12 provisional marks with seven of those in the top-10.
