When the annual NFL Combine begins Sunday in Indianapolis, one of the 300 plus football players scheduled to participate will be from this area.
University of Missouri center Trystan Colon-Castillo, a 6-4, 315 pound offensive lineman, who graduated from Webb City High School has been invited. Colon-Castillo started 25 games over the last two years for Mizzou.
While at Webb City, Colon-Castillo also played basketball.
He is majoring in parks, recreation and sport at MU where he signed after also receiving offers from Iowa State, Minnesota, Illinois and Rutgers.
The NFL Combine, which lasts nine days, serves as a job interview for players, who audition their skills and answer questions from officials for teams that might consider drafting them.
