Missouri Southern senior Rajindra Campbell has been named as the MIAA Men's Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office this afternoon.
At the Arkansas Qualifier, Rajindra Campbell broke his own Southern school record in the shot put that he set last week at the 5th Annual Gorilla Classic.
He had a throw of 19.04 meters (62-5.75) and moved into the No. 2 spot in the NCAA rankings with his automatic qualifying mark as he won the event.
The No. 6 ranked Lions return to Pittsburg State this week for the 2020 Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships on Friday, Feb. 28 through Sunday, March 1.
