(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)

The Missouri Southern women's soccer team wraps up its non-conference schedule with a home match tomorrow at 6:00 pm against Central Oklahoma before officially kicking off MIAA match play on Sunday at 1:00 pm versus Northeastern State.

The Lions (4-1-1) split last weekend pair after falling to NSU last week by a final score of 6-2, but were able to get back on track with a 2-1 victory over Southwest Baptist. Freshman forward Bailey Belcher recorded her second goal of the season to give the Lions a 1-0 in the 62nd minute. Sophomore forward Sarah Tatum followed up with ten minutes left in regulation for what turned out to be the game winner as the clock read zero.

It's the program's best start through six games since 2007 when the Lions went 4-1-1 towards an 11-5-3 overall record. The other team to kick off a season 4-1-1 was in 2004 which led to a 10-win season.
