MSSU men's golf in 16th after day one of Battle for the Belt

Hot Springs, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team sits in 16th place after day one of the the Battle For The Belt hosted by Henderson State University at Hot Springs Country Club.

Tristan Haltom is tied for 13th after a day one, shooting a one-under par 71. Adam Vining is tied for 59 with a 76, while Logan Greer and Jeremy Dunham are tied for 74th after shooting a 78. Taylor Haltom shot an 80 and is tied for 93rd.





Maryville University is the round one leader, eight strokes in front of Southern Arkansas. Central Missouri is third, followed by Northeastern State, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Arkansas Tech, Henderson State, Harding, Southern Nazarene, Delta State, Texas-Tyler, Lindenwood, Central Oklahoma, Oklahoma Baptist, Lincoln, Southern and Northwestern Oklahoma to round out the team scores.

The Lions will play 18 more holes tomorrow morning, followed by a final 18 holes on Tuesday.
