The Missouri Southern men's and women's golf teams will open up the 2018 fall season this week as the Lions' women will be at Northeastern State and the men will be at Central Missouri.
The Southern women will be playing in the program's first-ever event as the Lions will travel to Tahlequah, Okla. and Cherokee Springs Golf Club to participate in the NSU Fall Invitational. It will be the first MIAA Sanctioned Event of the season.
Freshmen Maggie Moore, Kylie Carnes, Allison Cunningham and Madison Soetaert, along with junior Elizabeth Poe will make the trip to NSU.
The men will be participating in The MULE at Central Missouri, played on Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg. The Lions will bring a veteran team that will see seniors Tristan Haltom, Jeremy Dunham, Adam Vining and Jon Lenz team up with sophomore Logan Greer to tackle the course.
