Southern women's golf in 14th after day one of UCO Classic

Edmond, Okla. -- The Missouri Southern women's golf team is in 14th place after day one of the UCO Classic hosted by Central Oklahoma at the Golf Club of Edmond.

Kylie Carnes and Allison Cunningham were the top golfers for the Lions after the first 18 holes as both posted scores of 84 and are tied for 54th. Kaitlyn Gilliland is tied for 61st with an 86, while Maggie Moore is just behind after shooting an 87. Elizabeth Poe shot a first-round 91.



Southwestern Oklahoma is in first after day one, one stroke in front of Northeastern State. Rogers State is in third, three strokes back, while Arkansas Tech is fourth, just four strokes back. Central Oklahoma is fifth, followed by Henderson State, Oklahoma Baptist, Southern Nazarene, Harding, Fort Hays, Cameron, Drury, the Redlands CC, Southern, Southern Arkansas, Arkansas-Monticello, and Southwest Baptist to round out the team scores.
