The Missouri Southern Women's soccer team utilized two second-half goals in order to defeat the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats, 2-0, inside Fred G. Hughes Stadium Friday evening.

Freshman Bailey Belcher registered both goals for the Lions (7-4-2, 3-2-1 MIAA) in the win with the first one coming off a shot from five yards out that landed in left corner of the goal.

She followed up in the 84th minute after senior Julia Liberty launched the ball up in the air and deflected off the NWMSU's goalkeeper towards the net. Belcher retrieved it for a stand-alone shot from point-blank range.

Junior goalkeeper Luz Galindo recorded four saves on 13 shots faced throughout the whole 90 minutes of play.

Women's Soccer continues its home stand against Missouri Western on Sunday at 1:00 pm inside Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
