MSSU women's golf tied for second after first day of Park University Fall Classic

Parkville, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern women's golf team is in second place after day one and Maggie Moore leads the field at the Park University Fall Classic held at The National Golf Club of Kansas City.

Moore shot a round one 81 to lead the field by one stroke. Elizabeth Poe (89) and Kylie Carnes (90) are ninth and tenth, while Allison Cunningham is tied for 30th after a 103. Madison Soetaert is tied for 42nd.



The Lions, as a team, shot a 363 and are ten strokes behind first-place Oklahoma Wesleyan. Truman is third, followed by Missouri Baptist, Ottawa, Park, Friends and Graceland to round out the team scores.

Southern will be back at it tomorrow morning with 18 final holes.
