MSSU volleyball loses to Nebraska-Kearney in three

Kearney, Neb. -- Bridgette Jaeger had eight kills and Morgan Nash had 17 digs, while the Missouri Southern volleyball team fell three sets to none tonight at third-ranked Nebraska-Kearney. Individual set scores wer 10-25, 16-25 and 14-25.

The Lions (2-18, 2-8 MIAA) got eight kills from Jaeger and 17 digs from Nash, while Kylee Kaaihue dished out 16 assists. Jaeger added five digs, while Alicia Pickett had three blocks.

The Lopers (23-1, 9-1 MIAA) got ten kills from Kendall Schroer and eight each from Anna Squires and Julianne Jackson.



Southern finished the match with 35 team digs and 5.5 team blocks.

The Lions will be back in action tomorrow night as Southern travels to Fort Hays State. Kickoff from Gross Memorial Coliseum is slated for 6 pm.
