Missouri Southern senior golfer Tristan Haltom has been named the MIAA Men's Golf Co-Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office today.
Haltom, a senior from Thornfield, Mo., helped the Lions to a 7th-place finish at the Henderson State University Battle for the Belt this past weekend.
The Lions posted a seven-under par team score on day three that saw three players reach below-par scores, including Haltom who recorded a one-under on the final day en route to a fifth-place finish in the tournament. Haltom shot a one-under on day one and three-under on day two to finish five-under par for the tournament.
Haltom and the Lions are off this week before returning on October 15 and 16 to participate in the final MIAA points event of the fall at Lincoln University.
