MSSU cross country teams to compete in Central Missouri Mule Run

The Missouri Southern men's and women's cross country teams will be in action this weekend as the Lions travel to Warrensburg for the Central Missouri Mule Run ran at Mules National Golf Club.

The Southern men come into the meet ranked 14th nationally and 2nd in the Central Region. Southern finished second last weekend at Fort Hays State, behind only Division I Air Force. The Lions have finished either first or second at every meet this season with the exception being a sixth-place finish at the Arkansas Chili Pepper Invite.



The Southern women come into the meet ranked 7th in the latest NCAA Division II Central Region Poll. The Lions finished fourth at last weekend's race at Fort Hays. Southern is one of three women's teams from the MIAA ranked in the regional poll this week.

The men will highlight a field that includes Drury, Pittsburg State, Missouri Western, Missouri S&T, Southwest Baptist, Central Missouri and William Jewell.

The women's field consists of Drury, Lincoln, Southern, Missouri Western, Missouri S&T, Pittsburg State, Rockhurst, Southwest Baptist, Central Missouri and William Jewell.
