MSSU men's golf finishes fall slate tying for ninth at Blue Tiger Invite

Jefferson City, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team finished up the final MIAA points event of the fall with a ninth-place finish today at the Lincoln University Blue Tiger Invite, held at Jefferson City Country Club.

Jeremy Dunham finished as the top scorer for the Lions, shooting a second-round 78 to finish at 151 and tied for 23rd. Logan Greer was tied for 32nd at 152, while Tristan Haltom was tied for 42nd at 153. Taylor Haltom was tied for 58th at 157, while Adam Vining wsa tied for 68th at 159. Tripper Jensen, playing as an individual finished tied for 73rd at 160.

Southern, as a team, finished tied with Missouri Western for 9th in the overall standings. But with this being an MIAA points event, the Lions and Griffons were the fifth-best MIAA programs at the tournament and will share fifth and sixth-place points.



Henderson State won the overall team title, followed by Lindenwood, just five strokes off the lead. Winona State and Central Missouri tied for third, followed by Central Oklahoma, William Woods, Northeastern State, Washburn, Southern, Western, Concordia-St. Paul, Lincoln, Missouri S&T, Sioux Falls, Northwestern Oklahoma, Southwest Baptist, Quincy and Fort Hays State.

Southern will be off for the winter and will return in the spring with the spring portion of its schedule.
