Kearney, Neb. -- The Missouri Southern volleyball team posted a pair of double-double's tonight at No. 2 ranked Nebraska-Kearney, but the Lions fell three sets to none to the Lopers. Individual set scores were 15-25, 17-25 and 17-25.

Southern (13-16, 6-13 MIAA) got double-double's from both Morgan Nash and Janelle Brehm. Nash had 26 assists and 16 digs, while Brehm posted 11 kills and 16 digs. Emalee Lowe had a match-high 25 digs, while Shaylon Sharp had eight kills and eight digs.

UNK (29-0, 19-0 MIAA) got ten kills from Anna Squires, while three players netted double-figure digs.

Sets one and two saw just one tied score and zero lead changes as the Lions fought from behind in each set.

Southern, however, fought back-and-forth in the third set as the score was tied nine times in the first ten points. The Lopers, however, went on a 4-1 run after the set was tied at nine and forced a Lions' timeout. The score was 19-12 and the Lions got within seven again at 23-16, but couldn't get any closer.

The Lions will close out the regular season tomorrow as Southern travels to Fort Hays State for a 12 pm matchup with the Tigers.
