MSSU volleyball falls in three to Central Oklahoma

The Missouri Southern volleyball team ran into a hot-hitting Central Oklahoma squad tonight as the Lions fell three sets to none to the tenth-ranked Bronchos inside Young Gymnasium. Individual set scores were 10-25, 11-25 and 14-25.

The Lions (7-7, 1-1 MIAA) got seven kills from Janelle Brehm and six from Sydney Dose. Morgan Nash and Whitney Harrison both had 11 assists, while Kat Gries had eight digs.

UCO (14-1, 1-0 MIAA) was led by Taylor Bevis with 14 kills and a .444 attack average. The Bronchos hit .434 as a team.

Set one saw three tied scores and one lead change, while set two saw just one tie. The Bronchos led from start to finish in the final set.

The Lions will be back in action tomorrow afternoon as Southern plays host to Pittsburg State. First-serve from Young Gymnasium is slated for 2 pm.
