MSSU golf headed to Winona State

(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)

The Missouri Southern golf team will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday as the Lions travel to Winona State University to participate in the JR Watkins Invite held at the Jewell Golf Club in Lake City, Minn.

This will be the first time the Lions have ventured to Minnesota in the fall and the first time the team has played on this golf course. Southern is coming off of a 6th place finish at Central Missouri and an 11th place finish last weekend at Northeastern State.

The Lions will bring Connor Neil, Tristan Haltom, Taylor Haltom, Tripper Jensen and Jake Becker as the scoring five to the tournament. Neil and Taylor Haltom both finished tied for tenth place individually at NSU. Tristan Haltom finished fifth at Central Missouri, but was the top MIAA individual finisher and is in first place in the early MIAA standings.

The Lions will play 18 holes on Monday and another 18 holes on Tuesday.
