MSSU Golf finishes Muskogee tournament tied for 11th

Muskogee, Okla. -- The Missouri Southern golf team shot a final round 307 today and finished tied for 11th today at the 2017 NSU Men's Fall Classic hosted at Muskogee Country Club.

Taylor Haltom shot a final-round 72 to finish tied for tenth at a three-round total of 214. Connor Neil shot a 73 today to finish tied with Haltom at 214. Logan Greer, playing as an individual, shot a final round 76 to finish tied for 44th at 222, while Tripper Jensen shot an 82 today to finish tied for 73rd at 229.

Tristan Haltom shot a final-round 84 to finish at 233 and in 84th place, while Jake becker shot an 80 to finish at 235 and in 90th.

Central Oklahoma won the team title with a four-under 848, while Arkansas Tech was in second, five strokes back. Central Missouri and Harding tied for third, while Southeastern Oklahoma, Lindenwood, Southwestern Oklahoma, Washburn, Henderson State and Missouri Western round out the top ten at the tournament.

Southern, Northeastern State, and Southern Nazarene tied for 11th, while Southwest Baptist, Minnesota State, Bemidji State and Fort Hays State round out the team scores.

The Lions will be back in action next week as they travel to Lake City, Minn. to compete in the JR Watkins Invite, hosted by Winona State at the Jewell CC.
