Former Missouri Southern baseball player Max Hogan has been named to the 2017 Gulf Coast League Postseason All-Star Team, the league recently announced.
Hogan, the 2017 MIAA Player of the Year, as well as a multiple All-American, was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 32nd round of this year's Major League Baseball Draft. Hogan hit .390 with 15 home runs and 59 RBIs as a senior for the Lions this year.
In his first year of professional baseball, Hogan hit .310 with 11 doubles, five triples, two home runs and 28 RBIs. He had 19 extra base hits and had a .452 on-base percentage, slugged .519 and finished with a .971 OPS. The .452 on-base percentage was tops in the GCL, while his .519 slugging was second.
