Kansas City, Mo. - Missouri Southern Softball junior Myranda Stewart was named MIAA Softball Hitter of the Week announced by the conference office Tuesday April 13th.
Stewart went 8-for-17 on the week while scoring five runs and connecting for three extra base hits, a double and a pair of home runs, for eight RBIs. She finished the week with a slugging percentage of .882 and an on base percentage of .526. Against Northwest and Missouri Western she went 6-for-12 with four runs scored and came away with a double and a home run to go with five RBIs. Her slugging percentage against those two teams was .833 while her on base percentage was .538.
Others nominated this week were: Tori Collet, Central Oklahoma; Erica Harper, Washburn; Lauren Mabe, Central Missouri; Austine Pauley, Lindenwood; Kaitlyn Weis, Northwest Missouri; Katie Yoakum, Emporia State.
The Lions will return to action this weekend with a road trip to Lincoln and Lindenwood.
