Heber Springs, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern women's golf team finished fifth today after the final round of the 2019 Natural State Classic hosted by Harding University at the Red Apple Inn and Country Club in Heber Springs.
The Lions had a great day, improving their team score by 12 strokes from day one to day two.
Individually, Kylie Carnes finished 16th with a two-day total of 173, while Maggie Moore was 18th at 177. Elizabeth Poe finished 26th with a two-day total of 204, while Taylor Boyett was 27th at 212.
Southern Nazarene won the team title, eight strokes in front of Harding. Southern Arkansas was third, followed by Arkansas-Monticello and the Lions to round out the team scores.
The Lions will be back in action on April 1-2 as they travel to Mountain Home, Ark. to compete in the Big Creek Invitational, hosted by Henderson State at Big Creek Country Club.
