MSSU golf finishes seventh at Southern Arkansas University tournament

El Dorado, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team finished in seventh place today after the final round of the Arkansas Collegiate, hosted by Southern Arkansas University at Mystic Creek Golf Club.

The Lions improved their round two score by ten strokes today, shooting a team score of 320.

Individually, Adam Vining led the Lions with a score of 160, after shooting a 77 today and finished tied for 21st. Taylor Haltom finished one stroke behind at 161 and was tied for 25th, while Jeremy Dunham was 32nd with a 164. Alec Dominic finished tied for 42nd, with a 168, while Tristan Haltom withdrew today due to injury.








Southern Arkansas won the team title with a two-day score of 609. Henderson State was second at 612, while Southeastern Oklahoma, Arkansas Tech, Southern Nazarene, Harding, the Lions and Missouri S&T round out the team scores.

The Lions will be back in action next week as Southern will compete in the Hillcat Classic, hosted by Rogers State at Bailey's Ranch Golf Club in Owasso, Okla. This meet will feature both the men's and women's squads competing at the same location.
