MSSU women's golf to open season at NSU Golf Classic

The Missouri Southern women's golf team will open up the 2019 season this week as the Lions head to Tahlequah, Okla. to compete in the 21st Annual NSU Golf Classic, hosted by Northeastern State on Cherokee Springs Golf Course.

The Lions will be one of 15 teams competing in the event which will see teams from the MIAA, the Great American Conference, the GLVC, the Lone Star Conference and a team out of the NJCAA.

Joining the Lions and the host RiverHawks will be Southwestern Oklahoma, Oklahoma Christian, Henderson State, Oklahoma Baptist, Rogers State, Southern Arkansas, Southern Nazarene, Harding, Northwest Missouri, Newman, Southwest Baptist, Fort Hays State and Seminole State CC.








The event begins tomorrow morning and will end on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions will bring a group of five individuals for the event. Two are returners and three are newcomers to the travel squad. Representing the Lions will be Maggie Moore, Kylie Carnes, Hannah Torres, Kirsten Kirkhart and Tabitha Morrow.
