MSSU soccer on the road this weekend against Missouri Western, Central Missouri

(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)

The Missouri Southern women's soccer team continues its nonconference slate on the road against a pair of Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) opponents beginning with Missouri Western on Friday at 8:00 pm and followed by a meeting with the eighth-ranked Central Missouri on Sunday at 1:00 pm.

The Lions (1-3-0) captured their first victory of 2019 on a last-second goal at home against the Drury Panthers last Friday night as a kick from senior Jessica Edwards deflected off a Panther defender into the goal as time expired. Sophomore forward Bailey Belcher leads the squad with two goals through the first two weeks after scoring both of them in a double-overtime thriller against the East Central Tigers last Sunday.
