MSSU men's golf to play host to tournament beginning today

The Missouri Southern men's golf team will be in action Monday and Tuesday as the Lions play host to the MSSU Fall Invitational at Shangri-La Country Club in Monkey Island, Oklahoma.

The tournament will feature 19 teams including the Lions, Central Oklahoma, Missouri Western, Rogers State, Fort Hays State, Washburn, Central Missouri, Newman, Northeastern State, Lincoln, Southwestern Oklahoma, Sioux Falls, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Minnesota State, Oklahoma Christian, Hutchinson CC, Southern Nazarene, Concordia St. Paul and Henderson State.








This will be the first of two MIAA points events of the fall. The Lions will take Colby Cox, Logan Greer, Jonathan Sanchez, Jon Lenz and Taylor Haltom as their scoring five with Grant Sikes and Jaime Suarez going as individuals. Cox is coming off a two-under par showing at Northeastern State where he finished tied for 15th.

Teams will have a shotgun start at 8:30 am and the event will feature 36 holes on Monday and another 18 on Tuesday.
