Sioux Falls, SD - Colby Cox was third, while the Missouri Southern men's golf finished third overall as the Lions competed in the Augustana Fall Invite hosted at Elmwood Golf Course.
Cox shot a second-round 77 and finished tied for third at 148. Jon Lenz shot a 75 in round two to finish tied for 13th at 151, while Logan Greer and Jonathan Sanchez tied at 16th with scores of 152.
The Lions had all four scorers finish in the top 16 today and had a team total of 603. Sioux Falls won the event with a 591, six strokes in front of Augustana. The Lions were third, followed by the University of Manitoba, South Dakota Mines and Minnesota-Crookston to round out the team scores.
Southern will be back in action next week as the Lions travel to Missouri Western for the second MIAA points event of the fall season on October 7 and 8. The tournament will be played at St. Joseph Country Club.
