MSSU volleyball to end regular season this weekend

The Missouri Southern volleyball team will end the regular season this weekend with a trip to Central Missouri on Friday and Lindenwood on Saturday. Both matches are slated to start at 6 pm.

The Lions (3-23, 3-13 MIAA) over the last two weeks have been led by Janelle Brehm. The sophomore is averaging 3.82 kills per set in the last five matches with 2.82 digs per set. Kylee Kaaihue is averaging 8.65 assists per set over the past five matches, while Morgan Nash is at 4.00 digs per set. Olivia Lewis is averaging 0.78 blocks per set and Alicia Pickett is at 0.71 blocks per set.

The Lions are averaging 1.35 blocks per set as a team and 13.71 digs per set over the past five matches.



Central Missouri (22-6, 12-4 MIAA) is ranked 15th nationally in the latest AVCA Poll. The Jennies are led by Audrey Fisher and Kylie Hohlen who average 3.44 and 3.29 kills per set, respectively. Ally Offerdahl dishes out 11.08 assists per set, while Abby Skrastins has a team-high 4.29 digs per set.

Lindenwood (14-13, 6-10 MIAA) are led by Alexa Pressley who is averaging 3.06 kills per set and Sadie Kosciuk who has a .329 attack average. Allyson Clancy dishes out 10.55 assists per set, while Emma Lattimore averages 3.40 digs per set.
