MSSU softball performs community service activities at Eugene Field Elementary in Webb City

(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)

The Missouri Southern softball team participated in two events by helping out Eugene Field Elementary school in Webb City, Mo throughout the pass couple weeks.

The Lions first helped in washing and painting different areas of the school toward creating a better atmosphere for students and staff alike going forward.

Then, they came back for the school's annual fall festival where players sold tickets, passed out drinks, handed out pizzas, and ran games for all attendees. Throughout the event, the team was thanked numerous times by teachers and janitors along with principal Dr. Drake.

Eugene Field elementary field was originally constructed in 1904 before relocating to its current spot on Oronogo street 50 years later. The school has played host to students beginning kindergarten all the way through six grades. It currently serves as a center for fourth grade.
