MSSU soccer loses to Fort Hays State 3-0

Hays, Kan. - The Missouri Southern soccer squad fell to the Fort Hays State Tigers by a final score of 3-0 inside the FHSU Soccer Field Sunday afternoon.

Junior forward Sarah Tatum, junior midfielder Carina Calderon, sophomore forward Bailey Belcher, and freshman defender Ashton Manwill each provided a shot on the day for the Lions (2-11-1, 1-5-1 MIAA). The Tigers (8-3-1, 4-1-1 MIAA) led at halftime 1-0 and then added two more goals in the second period in the win.








Freshman goalkeeper Riley Laver saw 24 total shots with 12 coming towards the goal. She made nine saves in 90 minutes played in-between the posts.

Missouri Southern returns home for a pair of MIAA matches against Emporia State on Friday at 6:00 pm and then Washburn on Sunday at 1:00 pm.
