The Missouri Southern men's and women's cross country teams will be in action tomorrow as the Lions compete at the Lewis University Crossover hosted on the Lewis Cross Country Course.
The meet will feature 73 teams from 12 different conferences from all over the country. Of those teams, 11 teams on the men's side are nationally ranked, while eight on the women's side are ranked.
The men come into the meet ranked seventh nationally, while the women are ranked 17th. The men have won both of their meets this year, but have been off since their victory at the Southern Stampede on September 21. The women won the SBU Invite to start the season and finished third at the Stampede.
The ranked teams at this meet on the men's side include No. 4 Grand Valley State, No. 6 Augustana, No. 7 Southern, No. 8 Southern Indiana, No. 11 Michigan Tech, No. 12 Lee, No. 17 Walsh, No. 18 Cal State San Marcos, No. 19 Alabama-Huntsville, No. 22 Saginaw Valley State and No. 25 Wayne State.
The women's side includes No. 2 Grand Valley State, No. 5 Augustana, No. 8 Lee, No. 12 Walsh, No. 13 Southern Indiana, No. 14 Cal State East Bay, No. 17 Southern and No. 22 Wayne State.
The women's 6 k goes off at 10 am, while the men's 8k begins at 10:45 AM. Live results for the meet are available above in the story links or by clicking on the link in the schedule.
After this meet, the Lions will be back in action as Southern plays host to the 2019 MIAA Championshisp on October 26 at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course.
