The Missouri Southern men's golf team will be in action Monday and Tuesday as the Lions travel to St. Joseph to compete in the Holiday Inn Express Invitational hosted by Missouri Western at St. Joseph Country Club.
The Lions will be participating in the second MIAA points event of the fall as every MIAA program will be participating.
Southern will be joined by the host school, Missouri Western, as well as Southwestern Oklahoma, Northeastern State, Bemidji State, Augustana, Central Missouri, Lincoln, Fort Hays State, Concordia - St. Paul, Newman, Central Oklahoma, Winona State, Washburn, Sioux Falls, Southern Arkansas, Minnesota State, Minnesota-Crookston and Rogers State.
Colby Cox, Taylor Haltom, Logan Greer, Jonathan Sanchez, and Jon Lenz will travel to represent the team. Cox has a 72.3 stroke average this season, leading the Lions in that category. He has two rounds below 70.
The event will start with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. The Lions will tee off at 8:15 am in groups with Augustana, Sioux Falls and Newman.
