MSSU men's golf in 13th after day one of Holiday Inn Classic Invite

St. Joseph, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team is in 13th place after day one of the Holiday Inn Classic Invite hosted by Missouri Western State University at St. Joseph Country Club.

The Lions are led by Logan Greer who shot a 147 over the first two rounds today to finish tied for 34th. Colby Cox iz tied for 46th after shooting a 75 in both rounds to finish with a 150.

Jon Lenz is tied for 55th at 151, while Taylor Haltom shot a 153 and finish tied for 66th. Jonathan Sanchez shot a 156 to finish day one tied for 75th.








The Lions, as a team, shot a 303 in round one and rebounded for a second-round score of 298 to finish at 601 for the day.

Central Missouri is in the lead after day one with a two-round score of 566, two strokes in front of Winona State. Washburn is third, followed by Central Oklahoma, Southwestern Oklahoma, Southern Arkansas, Northeastern State, Minnesota State, Rogers State, Missouri Western, Bemidji State, Sioux Falls, the Lions, Upper Iowa, Concordia-St. Paul, Lincoln, Newman, Augustana, Fort Hays State and Minnesota-Crookston to round out the team scores.

The Lions will tee off tomorrow morning at 9 am and will be grouped with Upper Iowa, Concordia-St. Paul and Lincoln.
