San Angelo, Texas - Missouri Southern freshman Claire Luallen placed fifth in the heptathlon at the 2019 David Noble ASU Relays today, earning an NCAA Provisional Qualifying Mark in the process.
Luallen hit a total of 4,857 points in the process as she started the day with a distance of 5.96m in the long jump to win the event. She followed that up with a distance of 26.52m in the javelin and then pulled in a final time of 2:33.08 in the 800m.
Miracle Grant finished with 4,002 points in the heptathlon as she hit marks of 4.83m in the long jump, 24.24m in the javelin and 2:35.17 in the 800m.
The Lions will finish up the meet tomorrow as action begins in the morning.
