Fort Smith, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern women's golf team finished ninth today after the final round of the 2019 Hardscrabble Invitational played at Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith.
The Lions lowered their third-round team score by 10 strokes and were 13 strokes in front of their round-one score, finishing with a team total of 1118.
Kylie Carnes paced the Lions, tying for 31st at 244 total. Maggie Moore was 35th with a total of 252, while Elizabeth Poe (44th) and Taylor Boyett (45th) shot three-round scores of 298 and 324, respectively.
Texas A&M Commerce took home the team title, finishing 24 strokes in front of second-place Arkansas-Fort Smith. Rogers State was third, followed by Western Texas, Nebraska-Kearney, Texas A&M Kingsville, Northwestern Oklahoma, Texas A&M International and the Lions to round out the team scores.
The Lions will be off one week before heaing to the 2019 MIAA Women's Golf Championships hosted at Firekeeper Country Club in Mayetta, Kan.
