Monkey Island, Okla. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team finished tied for 6th today after the final round of the 2019 MIAA Men's Golf Championships hosted at Shangri-La Country Club.
The Lions were led by Jeremy Dunham and Taylor Haltom who both finished tied for 19th at 222 over the three rounds. Logan Greer shot a final-round 75 and finished tied for 25th with Tristan Haltom who shot a final round 73 and a 224 for the tournament. Tripper Jensen finished at 227 and tied for 30th individually.
Lindenwood won the team title with a 21-under par score of 843 over the three rounds, 12 strokes in front of second-place Northeastern State. Central Missouri was third, followed by Central Oklahoma and Washburn tied at fourth. The Lions and Missouri Western were tied at sixth, while Fort Hays State, Lincoln and Southwest Baptist round out the team scores.
Markus Lingren of Lindenwood won the individual title with a three-round total of 205, 11-under par.
Dunham was named an All-MIAA selection at the conclusion of the tournament.
