MSSU's Kylie Carnes tied for seventh after first day of Henderson State Spring Invite

Mountain Home, Ark. -- Missouri Southern Golfer Kylie Carnes is in a tie for 7th after day one of the 2019 Henderson State Spring Invite hosted at Big Creek Country Club.

Carnes posted a round one total of one-over par (73) and followed that up with a 76 in round two to finish day one at 149 and tied for 7th. The Lions, as a team, had a great second round, improving their team total by 16 strokes going from a 370 in round one to a 354 in round two.

Maggie Moore is in 53rd after two rounds with a 169, while Elizabeth Poe is in 63rd with a 191. Taylor Boyett finished the day in 64th with a 215.








Henderson State leads the team totals and is in front of second-place Texas A&M - Commerce by two strokes. Missouri Western is third, followed by Central Oklahoma, Southern Nazarene, Northeastern State, Oklahoma Baptist, Lindenwood, Drury, Southern Arkansas, Northwestern Oklahoma and the Lions to round out the team scores.

The teams will play one final round of 18 tomorrow to conclude the tournament.
