MSSU baseball sixth in first NCAA Division II Central Region rankings

The 21st-ranked Missouri Southern baseball team has debuted at No. 6 in the first NCAA Division II Central Region Rankings as the organization announced today.

The Lions are one of four MIAA teams in the top 10 ranked today, joining Central Missouri, Central Oklahoma and Emporia State.

Central Missouri is the No. 1 ranked team, followed by St. Cloud State, Minnesota State, Augustana, Arkansas-Monticello, the Lions, Central Oklahoma, Southern Arkansas, Emporia State and Arkansas Tech.








The NCAA will conduct two separate regional tournaments with four teams each for the Central Region this year with the top two seeds being offered the opportunity to host the event.

Southern will be in action at home this weekend, playing host to Pittsburg State on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
