Two records fall for MSSU women's track at Gorilla Classic

Pittsburg, Kan. -- A pair of school records fell today in the final day of the 2019 Pittsburg State Indoor Gorilla Classic, held inside the Robert W. Plaster Complex.

Morgan Smith broke her own 60m hurdles record, while Jasmine Deckard broke her own 60m dash record today. Smith broke her record (8.59) in the finals of the hurdles, while Deckard's mark (7.53) came in the prelims. The 4x400m relay team of Deckard, Elizabeth Adeoye, Rachel Ray and Smith nearly broke their own record again in the event, as well.






In total, the Lions had seven NCAA Provisional Qualifying marks today. Desirea Buerge and Payton Roberts (shot put), Samantha Petry, Elena Bisotto and Jordan Banker (invite pole vault), Smith (60m hurdles), and Deckard (60m) all had provisional marks on the day.

Individual results are listed below. The Lions will be back in action next weekend with meets at Central Missouri and Nebraska.
