MSSU track and field teams pick up 13 NCAA provisionals at University of Arkansas Qualifier

Fayetteville, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern men's and women's track and field team picked up 13 NCAA Provisional Qualifying marks as the Lions competed at the University of Arkansas Qualifier inside the Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville.

The 7th-ranked women and the 27th-ranked men were competing at Arkansas after weather made the trip to Central Missouri not an option.

Earning NCAA Provisional marks for the women were Jasmine Deckard (200m), Morgan Smith (60m hurdles), Samantha Petry, Jordan Banker, Lauren Sutherland, Megan Tramel (pole vault), Payton Roberts and Desirea Buerge (shot put). On the men's side, Andrew Wells (high jump), Adrain Broadus (triple jump), Rajindra Campbell (shot put) and Josh Fulmer and Travis Petersen (weight throw) all earned NCAA Provisional marks.

Deckard (.01) and Smith (.05) were just short of breaking their own records in the 200m and 60m hurdles.

Complete results are listed below. The Lions will be back in action next weekend as Southern competes at the 2019 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Northwest Missouri State University.
