"This is potentially the best class of male freshman we have ever recruited," Wheeler said. "With the addition of Coach Derek Skaggs, Recruiting Coordinator, we have been able to improve the recruiting process and do a more effective job of acquiring the student athletes that we want as Lion Golfers. It is a tough and competitive process and I am very pleased with the results of this falls signing. We are graduating four seniors this spring, so this recruiting class is larger than usual. They are all good players in their own right. It is a big transition from high school to college. There is a price to be paid to excel in college golf and we will see who is up to the task. Coyle, McSpadden, and Sanchez all work with a teacher that I have great respect for, Phil Walker, Back Nine Golf Academy in NW Arkansas. But they all have quality instructors.

"Both Terry and Dominic are outstanding golfers in their own right and have the potential to step in and be difference makers in the spring for us."
