MSSU men's track picks up win, provisionals in day one of meet

The Missouri Southern men's track and field team picked up a win in the 200m dash and multiple provisional marks in day one of the 2015 MSSU Lion Open on Mercy Track inside the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.

Jeff Fraley won the 200m dash in his first entry into the event this season. The senior ran to a time of 21.71, which converted to a banked track is a time of 21.33 and ranks second-fastest in the event this season. It also currently gives Fraley the second-fastest time in both the 200m and the 400m, while holding the third-fastest time in the 60m.

Erron Holley qualified fourth for the finals of the 60m dash in a time of 6.97, while Bryan Burns was fifth in the weight throw with a provisional distance of 56-09.25. Nicklas Polizzi was 12th in the event.

Jacob Rowe was seventh in the long jump in a distance of 22-08, while Adrian Todd was tenth in the 5k, turning in a time of 15:39.

The distance medley relay team of Tom Zeilman, Thomas Hawkins, Miles Migliara and Andrew Webster placed fourth in the event, bettering their seed time by three seconds and turning in a finish of 10:27.48.

The Lions will be back in action tomorrow for day two of the event.
