(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)
Fans attending the season-opening series between the Missouri Southern baseball team and Upper Iowa this weekend may notice some construction still taking place.
While the majority of the stadium is finished, there are still some updates that need to be finished.
Fans will first notice a fully-functional parking lot adjacent to the stadium and beyond the right-field fence of MSSU softball's Lea Kungle Field. There is parking for 100 cars in that particular lot, with more parking available in the normal softball/football lot.
One thing to be aware of, however, is there will only be seating available above the third base dugout as construction on the first base side, as well as the press box level is not quite complete. Fans can also sit at ground level on both sides and are welcome to bring their own chairs.
So come out and chair on the Lions as they open the new MSSU Baseball Stadium against Upper Iowa. First pitch is noon on Saturday.
