MSSU football signs Hawaiian linebacker

Missouri Southern football coach Daryl Daye has announced one more addition to his 2015 signing class.

Andrew Morgan, a 6-0, 240 pound linebacker, comes to Southern after two seasons at Long Beach City College in California. A native of Waianae, Hawaii, Morgan helped Long Beach to a 9-2 record this past season and recorded 20 tackles, with a half a sack and one pass break up. He helped lead the Vikings to a Beach Bowl Championship.

Morgan prepped at Damien Memorial High School in Honolulu where he was an All-City linebacker and MVP of the All-Poly Linebacker Camp.

The son of Andrew and Naomi Morgan, his father played football at Western Oregon and his mother is a graduate of the University of the Pacific. Morgan has a wife, Areah and a daughter, Phoenix. He plans to major in kinesiology at Southern.
