Missouri Southern senior sprinter Jeff Fraley has been named the MIAA Men's Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office today.
Fraley, a native of St. Robert, Mo. and Waynesville HS, had a successful weekend competing at the MSSU Lion Invite. He won the 200m with a provisional time of 21.71, a full half-second in front of his nearest competitor. That time when adjusted for a banked track is 21.33, and is just .06 off an AQ in the event and it also ranks second nationally.
He then went on to finish second in the 600 yard, turning in a time of 1:14.05. Fraley finished off the meet by leading off on the MSSU 4x400m relay team that finished second in a time of 3:21.62. Fraley currently ranks third in the 60m, second in the 200m and second in the 400m nationally.
Fraley will be in action on Friday at the University of Arkansas and then will race on Saturday at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational in Norman, Okla.
