(From MSSU Lions Athletic News)

The Missouri Southern men's basketball team took another step toward a first-round bye and an automatic berth to Kansas City, as the Lions disposed of visiting Lincoln 95-79 tonight on Senior Night on Robert Corn Court inside the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.

The Lions started the game hot as with five of the six seniors starting (Barlow odd man out) all five had scored when Southern led 13-3 after a three from Randy Clark with 16:18 left. Southern will now wait for the numbers to be released from the MIAA for what the Lions' seed will be to the MIAA Tournament. With Northwest Missouri and Central Oklahoma both winning today, the chance the Lions will have to play on Monday look slim, but an official announcement will be coming from the MIAA later tonight, as well as on www.mssulions.com
