The Missouri Southern men's track and field team picked up a win and four top three finishes in the final day of the MSSU Lion Invite on Mercy Track inside the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.
Kennan Harrison won the triple jump with a distance of 49-02.50. The mark ranks ninth nationally and is a solid provisional mark.
Brady Melugin was sixth with a provisional in the pole vault, hitting a height of 15-05.50, while Zach Weust placed eighth.
Tyler Hovey was fifth in the shot put, while Bryan Burns and Nicklas Polizzi placed ninth and 16th, respectively.
Erron Holley placed fifth in the finals of the 60m dash, clocking in at 7.01. Jeff Fraley was second in the 600 yard run in a time of 1:14.05, while Thomas Hawkins placed 16th in the 400m dash.
Yvonel Adams was third in the 800m in a time of 1:57.03, while Andrew Webster was sixth in the mile, clocking in at 4:21.76. Ben Southwick was tenth in the mile.
Adrian Todd placed 7th in the 3k finishing in a time of 8:55.91, while Drake Smelser placed 20th in the event.
The mile relay team of Fraley, Sam Kohrs, Hawkins and Holley placed second in the event, nearly breaking a school record, finishing just a half a second off the mark with a time of 3:21.62. The mile relay team of Tavion Jones, Desmond Williams, Zeilman and Adams placed 11th.
Southern will be back in action next weekend when the Lions travel to Norman, Okla. where they will compete at the Oklahoma Baptist Invite, hosted by the University of Oklahoma.
