MSSU's Presley earns All-America nod with second place pole vault finish

Birmingham, Ala. -- Missouri Southern sophomore pole vaulter Emily Presley earned her third All-American honor today as she finished second overall in the Pole Vault as part of day two of the 2017 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Presley hit her first two attempts at heights of 12-10.25 and 13-02.25, but missed on her attempts at 13-06.25 putting her second overall on fewer misses. It's her third All-American honor in the pole vault with an 8th place finish in last year's Indoor Championships and the National Title in the 2016 Outdoor Championship.

In other action today, Allie Heckemeyer was 11th in the pentathlon with a total of 3,547 points. Kennan Harrison was 15th in the triple jump with a distance of 47-10.75.

On the final day of competition tomorrow, Morgan Hold starts things off for the Lions as he competes in the pole vault at 2:30 pm. Bryan Burns will compete in the shot put at 3:30 pm and Vincent Kiprop will compete in the 3k at 5 pm.
