Gorski homers, but MSSU falls to Arkansas Tech 10-3

Russellville, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern baseball team went on top 2-0, but Arkansas Tech outscored the Lions 10-1 over the final eight innings and Southern lost 10-3 today in non-conference action.

Southern (8-7) got a home run from Richie Gorski, his second of the year, as five different Lions had a hit each. Cory Canterbury drove in two, while Gorski, Hinkley and Graham scored a run each.

Matt Harvey started and went three innings, allowing four earned runs to suffer the loss, his first of the season. Gatlin Watson, Danny Biggs, Eric Wilkinson, Brandon Sadler, Zach Litchen and Cody Smith threw in relief.

Tech (9-6) got a four-RBI day from Zach Klockowski.

The Lions got on top first, as Canterbury drove in Graham. Another run came across in the top of the third on Gorski's home run. Tech scored three in the bottom of the third, before another Canterbury RBI in the fourth, scoring Hinkley.

Tech got five runs in the fourth and a single run in each of the fifth and sixth.

The Lions will be back in action this weekend as Southern hosts a three-game series with Nebraska-Kearney.
