Kansas City, Mo. -- Missouri Southern sophomore pole vaulter Emily Presley has been named the MIAA Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the League office Monday.
Presley, a native of St. Clair, Mo., picked up an NCAA Automatic Qualifying Mark as the Lions outdoor track and field teams opened up the season at the ESU Spring Invite. Presley tied her career-best in the event with a height of 13-03.50 to win and place her number one on the national list early on in the season.
The Lions will be off until March 31 when they are at Washington University.
