MSSU golf back in action at Broncho Invitational

Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Missouri Southern Men's Golf team is back in action this week as they travel to the Broncho Invitational hosted by Central Oklahoma at the Gaillardia Country Club Monday and Tuesday March 20th and 21st.

Southern is coming off of a weather shortened Washburn Invitational where the Lions placed sixth. Making the trip to Oklahoma City will be seniors Taylor Lansford, Cameron Hamilton, and Phillip Roller, junior Connor Neil, and freshman Chase Rogers.

Rogers led the Lions at the Washburn Invitational with a one round score of 77 and a share of 15th. Lansford was two strokes back in a tie for 26th and Neil finished one stroke back of Lansford in a tie for 34th. Hamilton and Roller are making their spring debut for the Lions. Roller made an appearance this fall at the MSSU Fall Invitational with a three round average score of 79.3 while Hamilton made four appearances with an average score of 75.8 in nine rounds of action. Hamilton's best finish came at the MSSU Fall Invitational where he shot a season low 4-over for a share of 13th.

Gaillardia Country Club in a 7,152 yard par 72 course and the first round will have a shotgun start at 9 a.m. with the Lions playing in a threesome with Oklahoma Christian and Henderson State. Also in the field of teams are the hosts Central Oklahoma, Central Missouri, Southwestern Oklahoma, Washburn, Winona (Minn.) State, Southern Arkansas, Arkansas-Monticello, Arkansas-Ft. Smith, Southern Nazarene, Newman, Lincoln, Texas A&M International, Missouri Western, Southwest Baptist, and Oklahoma State, the Cowboys are playing as individuals.
